Print management specialist, etrinsic has been working with Druckers since early 2006 and handles the company's production of point of sale, marketing material and corporate stationery including menus, posters, countertop tickets, carrier bags, loyalty cards, recruitment application forms and business cards.
Bernard André is responsible for sourcing all the ingredients that make up Druckers Vienna Patisserie's recipe for success. This not only includes all the chocolate, cream and other goodies that go into the company's famous cakes but also equipment, stationery and print.
Bernard André is not only in charge of procurement, he is also responsible for product development. It's a broad remit with, as he remarks: 'a lot to do and little time to do it.'
"We contacted etrinsic following a change of corporate identity," he explains.
"Roll-out of a new id is a major undertaking especially with our multi-site operation and wide range of point of sale items. "We have fairly complicated print needs. For example, there are three different menus, not all cafes sell the same products and there are also different price bands. The menus are fixed to the wall behind the counter and often have to be tailored to fit the space available. etrinsic holds all our artwork, images and data centrally and I simply provide the menu requirements and parameters and they get on with it. We work very closely together and they respond well to a brief. I like the fact that I am assigned a single contact to work with on a day-to-day basis. By the same token, when this person is away, the substitute is always properly
briefed and up to speed."

We need to print on a wide variety of mediums and formats - from PVC and Foamex to light boxes and banners. etrinsic can arrange to print on virtually anything you can think of and find exactly the right printer to do it. It saves us a great deal of time."
Also important to Druckers is consistency of colour reproduction across all printed items. Using hi-tech equipment to check output etrinsic acts as the guardian - ensuring that no matter which printer is commissioned to do a job, consistent colour reproduction is achieved.
"For us, the standard is perfection and we will not compromise. If it's not perfect, it goes back," adds Bernard. |
