[18/07/08] | etrinsic computer donation aids charity
With a major computer upgrade just completed, instead of consigning its previous PCs to a computer graveyard, etrinsic has donated 26 units to the organisation Computers for Charities (CfC).
While these PCs may not be the very latest generation, they can bring real benefits to others, says Steve Cousins, etrinsic's IT Manager. CfC does fantastic work both in the UK and overseas supplying IT-related advice and support for charities and voluntary organisations, educational and religious establishments. As an international company, we felt that CfC's support for projects worldwide best reflected our own outlook.
CfC receives 75,000 enquiries a year for support from all over the world. Some of the countries to benefit outside the UK include Nepal, Kenya, Bosnia, Pakistan and Nigeria. 95% of the computers donated come from the corporate sector.
